When we begin the process of a web design project with clients we unanimously hear “I just don’t even know where to start”. And usually they don’t, which is one reason that they have put off a redesign for so long. To help, we have broken down our process into five phases. It helps everyone to stay focused, to stay accountable, and to make things a little less overwhelming.
The first phase of every project is discover & define. Before we even can give an estimate or quote for a project we first need to sit down with our clients and have a conversation, get to know each other. Through this conversation we discover exactly who our client is, who their target audience is and define what the needs are for both the client as well as their audience. It helps us define how we are going to tell their story, what it is we are going to build and on what platform, ie WordPress, HTML5, Squarespace, etc.
