A few years ago Hall Street Grill reached out to us. They had just rebranded their logo and needed to redesign their website. Since then they have turned into one of our favorite clients and we’ve been through the redesign, a WordPress implementation and many, many menu and event updates.
We caught up with event coordinator for Hall Street Grill, Sandra Scolari, to get to know her a little better in our first client profile.
How long have you been at Hall Street Grill?
Two and a half years.
How did you get started in event planning?
I was working as a server at Jake’s Grill in The Governor Hotel and wanted to do something more challenging. Private Dining/Banquets seemed like the logical place for me to go and I haven’t looked back since.
What do you love most about your job?
There’s a lot that I love about my job, but I think mostly it’s the satisfaction that I get after an event has been successfully executed.
What’s the coolest event you have ever planned?
Probably former US Senator Gordon Smith’s victory celebration party at The Governor Hotel in 1996. It was exciting to be a part of something that I had never experienced before.
What is the oddest request you have gotten for an event?
I once had a Cheetah Conservation group ask if they could bring a cheetah to the event. After jumping through some hoops, we were able to get authorization for the cheetah to be brought on premise. THAT was cool!
And your favorite thing on the Hall Street Grill menu?
For dinner, I love the Prime Rib and for lunch, the Asian Chicken Salad.
Hmmm, our personal favorite is the Pork Belly Rueben Bites paired with The Saint at happy hour. Yum!
